Samara

A real vintage rarity from the 60s.

The model “Samara” is a beautiful watch from the 60s, which is newly produced. The design originates from the 60s, yet it has been slightly reworked. The hour markers get a thinner and more elegant shape and fit perfectly visually to the narrow shape of the hands. Numbers were chosen to represent the minute scale. These were placed on the outer edge of the dial. The curvature of the dial on the outer edge remains, as in the original models of the 60s, and successfully continues this tradition. The color of the dials was also adapted to the 60s. A delicate champagne and emerald green hue play the main role, as these colors were very popular at the time. The plain hands of the green version are designed in white; the champagne version gets blued hands. Due to these contrasts, they support the easy readability of the time.

The 2609.Poljot movement used for these models is a rarity. It also dates from this period and actively supports the vintage models. The glass back of the watch is also an update compared to conventional vintage models. It was very important for the designer to show the original vintage movement. The 38.5 mm case is made of brushed stainless steel, and the bezel and case back are highly polished. These finishes create contrasts to make the already flat watch, visually even flatter. The straps are produced from high quality and soft calfskin without continuous stitching. The coarse stitching on the sides maintains the traditional look of the 60’s.To further support the rarity of these two models, both models were limited to 50 pieces each.

This scarcely limited vintage – novelty is available once until 01 October 2021 at a promotional price of € 459. After this date, the price of the watch will be raised to 529, – euros.
