Description

THROUGH SPACE AND TIME
With the new “ORBITA” by Poljot-International.

The International Space Station (ISS) is the largest and most enduring space station in human history. Originally conceived as a military station by the United States, it has been operated and further developed in international collaboration by 16 countries and 5 space agencies since its construction began in 1998. It is the largest satellite in Earth’s orbit and the largest human-made object in space. The ISS orbits the Earth approximately every 93 minutes at an altitude of about 400 km. Since November 2, 2000, the ISS has been continuously inhabited by astronauts.

The new model “Orbita” is dedicated to this very ISS space station, with the entire design carefully tailored to the space theme.

When you glance at the dial, the second time zone at 3 o’clock immediately represents the ISS space station and Earth. Even the second hand at the 6 o’clock position symbolically resembles a small space station. The red markings make reading the seconds easier. The hour markers on the outer part of the dial are shaped like small stars, further embracing the space theme. In the 9 o’clock area, there is also a day and night display. All the blue-coated hands are equipped with blue luminescent material to ensure excellent visibility in the dark.

The leather strap is equally rich in detail. A brown suede strap with side stitching and an embedded metal logo complements the space theme entirely.

The round 43-millimeter stainless steel case is covered with sapphire glass and houses the skeletonized and engraved manual-winding caliber 9931-PI with a power reserve of 36 hours, visible through a transparent case back. With a limited edition of only 400 pieces and an outstanding price-to-performance ratio, the new model exceeds all expectations.
