Gorbatchov

A legend of international standing.

In the 90s of the 20th century, this man’s face was known everywhere. His level of fame exceeded that of any idol.

It was Michael Gorbatchov who broke down the “iron curtain” between East and West. People began to treat each other with mutual understanding and respect. Michael Gorbatchov was a legend of international stature. He left his mark on the world and did his best for peace. Instead of numerals, the dial features red gold indexes. Two flags symbolize the transition from the USSR to the Russian Federation. The model is available in three colors: black, beige and silver. All models are limited to 250 pieces per dial version. The movement is the automatic caliber 2427 from Slava with date & day, double barrel, 21 rubies, shock protection and 42-hour power reserve.

In 2025, the “Poljot International” brand is honoring Mikhail Gorbachev for the third time with another sequel to the lovingly designed “Gorbi watch”. The difference to the previous models lies in the newly designed case, which now has a diameter of 42 millimetres and a height of 12.77 millimetres. The dial is curved at the edge to make the case look slimmer.

The new models also shine in two beautiful colors: Green and blue. Green is symbolic of hope, while blue has a calming and clear effect. Both are colors that would certainly have appealed to Mikhail Gorbachev and give this watch a special meaning.

The heart of the watch has also been redesigned: Inside the new models ticks the automatic NH36 movement from Seiko with 24 jewels, a date and weekday display at the 3 o’clock position and a power reserv of 41 hours. With a strict limitation of only 100 pieces per model, this watch is not only a coveted collector’s item, but also a tribute to a historical personality and a piece of world history.
